No pants? No problem!
Each year, filmmakers get together for a challenge. It goes something like this. On Friday night, you get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in your movie. 48 hours later, the movie must be complete. Then it will show at a local theater, usually in the next week.
In 2005, we set out on a 2 month cross country journey in search of the Nissan Truck enthusiast. Destination Xterra was a show pilot conceptualized and funded entirely by Pantless Productions.
The show caught the attention of Nissan Marketing, and had a brief run on Lifeskool TV. While it never got developed in to a full series, it opened the doors for a lot of future productions.
An oldie but a goodie. In 2002, Comedy Central shot season one of a trial show called “Chappelle’s Show”. Its success prompted another two seasons of production, although only one of them was ever released. With the debut of the Panasonic DVX100 (we know, old school!) Pantless Productions was able to shoot along side the ever popular VariCam and serve as a B camera.
